Mobile-First Design: What It Actually Means for Your Business

Most local searches now happen on a phone, often while the customer is deciding in the moment — walking past your street, comparing options at a red light, or scrolling in bed before booking tomorrow's appointment.

Mobile-first design starts the layout process on the smallest screen, not the largest. Buttons get bigger, forms get shorter, and the most important action is always visible without scrolling.

The payoff is measurable: shorter forms and larger tap targets consistently lead to more completed bookings and enquiries, simply because there's less friction between interest and action.

If your current site was designed for desktop first and 'squeezed' onto mobile, it's worth auditing how many taps it takes a phone user to reach your contact button.
